What Vuabl Offers

Our new solution allows anyone with the right smartphone (Iphone 12 Pro or Above) to scan their property and instantly generate 98% accurate Floorplans, 3D Models and Asset Lists with Dimensions. 

Then, after they've completed a scan, the assets generated are instantly synced to the web based dashboard, allowing all members of the Octopus team to access it, share it with contractors who need it, and keep it for asset management purposes.

What it can offer Octopus

With the wave of retrofit's currently going on, the size of the current opportunity due to government legislation, and the seemingly unstoppable demand in the market for it, the biggest costs for companies like Octopus are tied to the time and energy needed to plan, coordinate and execute multiple site visits for a property.

By implementing a system where necessary floorplans and assets are created without ever visiting the property, the potential cost savings in sending contractors to the property, coupled with the potential revenue gained from being able to fit more instructions into the same timeframe, need to be considered. 

 

Potential Cost Savings

We're aware of the limitations of our system in that our solution requires a specific range of iPhone devices to use, but we still see enormous potential for the use case.

Our current numbers show that around 15% of the UK population has the necessary devices for this, with that number growing steadily year on year as older models are phased out.

Using a sample size of 10,000 properties, and sticking with that 15% number, the potential opportunity would be to remove 1500 site visits from your costs, clearing space for 1500 more properties to be visited.

Option 1

Vuabl in Your Tenants Hands

To allow your tenants to scan the property and capture details, we'll be able to create a system where Octopus Energy employees can issue one time links, texted directly to tenants mobile phones, allowing them to click that link, download the Vuabl app, access Vuabl with their temporary account, and scan their property.

Then, after they've completed a scan, the assets generated (Floorplans, 3D Models and Asset Lists with Dimensions) are instantly synced to the web based dashboard, allowing all members of the Octopus team to access it, share it with contractors who need it, and keep it for asset management purposes.

Option 2

Vuabl in The Octopus Brand

This is an option to go a step further, and bring all of vuabls' offering under the singular Octopus brand. Instead of downloading the Vuabl app, tenants will download an Octopus branded version of the app, with full functionality.

This also allows us to go beyond the base parameters of the Vuabl app, and add custom layouts, options and direct integrations into housing management systems that may not be possible otherwise.
